ADVANCED SPINAL CARE CLINIC
METROPOLITAN GENERAL HOSPITAL – B’ NEUROSURGERY CLINIC

Advanced Spinal Care Clinic has been active in the field of Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Spinal Surgery since 1997 and to date has performed more than 2,000 procedures both in Greece and abroad. Flexible endoscopes have been used since 2002. As of this writing, more than 2,000 endoscopic procedures have been performed, with a predominance of degenerative spine pathology.

The use of endoscopes in the treatment mainly of degenerative diseases of the spine, tumors (primary – secondary), congenital diseases (arachnoid cysts, Tarlov cysts), syringomyelia and chronic benign pain (post-operative adhesions, etc.) is gaining more and more ground. The development of state-of-the-art technology (flexible endoscopes, fluoroscopically guided, fiber optics and laser fibers) allows us to:

  • The most accurate diagnosis and simultaneous treatment with the least possible tissue exposure to the surgical wound
  • Abolition of general anesthesia
  • The minimization of postoperative infections
  • The minimum stay of the patient in the hospital (day hospitalization)

The continuous evolution and development of technology, as well as the simultaneous experience gained from its use, results in the revision and adaptation of classical knowledge (surgery) to modern data in order to improve the quality of human life and reduce the total cost (financial, social, etc.) of a surgical operation.
